Towing Services

What to look for when selecting an ethical towing company:

When selecting a towing service for your business it is important to remember that the company that you select is a reflection of your own company. Also, if the towing company takes short-cuts on safety you will in most cases be liable also.

When selecting any towing service you should select a company that:

  1. You feel is reliable and will show up as scheduled.

  2. The business has a physical address.

  3. All of the drivers are licensed.

  4. The company is viable and will represent your company professionally.

  5. All safety precautions will be followed to the letter of the law to protect your business.

  6. The business is insured, and will show it to you.

  7. It is very important to select a certified towing service. Many companies are certified and that is good, BUT, it is important that the person that is actually doing the towing is certified. It does no you no good to select a qualified business if the person that is actually doing the work and making the decisions is not qualified.

  8. It is important to select a company that has multiple trucks.

The important thing to understand about a towing company is to make sure that you are comfortable with the business you select and that your vehicle is properly tied down according to the letter of the law. It must be a 4 point tie down with no exceptions.

What to avoid when selecting a business in this industry:

  1. A company that does not show you their business license. There are many companies that act like real businesses, but in reality they are not operating legally. Why reward them.

  2. Towing companies with dirty trucks and drivers not in clean neat uniforms. The towing service is a reflection of your business.

  3. A business that does not show you their insurance. If someone is injured on the job and is not insured the consumer may be liable. Why take that chance?

  4. Companies that play price games.

  5. Companies that will not provide you a detailed estimate.

  6. Companies that apply pressure.

  7. Companies with a high turnover rate. It is important to have an experienced driver towing your property.

  8. You get what you pay for. If you want qualified and insured professionals, you may need to pay a little more, but in most cases it is money well spent.

  9. Companies that make guarantees that appear too good to be true.

  10. Under no circumstances is it wise to have a driver tow your property that is not certified and insured.
