Estate Planning

What to look for when selecting an ethical estate planner:

When selecting any financial advisor select an advisor that:

  1. Have experience and a solid track record within the financial industry.

  2. Does not pressure in any way.

  3. Has a physical local address.

  4. Verify certifications.

  5. An ethical financial planner is not afraid to tell you how they are compensated.

  6. An ethical financial planner is going to be asking a tremendous amount of questions. They also spend more time listening to your needs than selling.

It is always a good idea to have an attorney involved. Many unethical financial planners do not want to hear those words. The financial planning industry is largely unregulated so please do your research.

When evaluating the financial planning industry the term “buyer beware” can not be emphasized enough. There are hundreds of financial planners so it is important to take your time.

What to avoid when selecting a business in this industry:

  1. Financial planners that are in a hurry to close the deal.

  2. Financial planners that do not have a long track record in the industry.

  3. Financial planners that do not disclose how they are being paid.

  4. Financial planners that do not give you everything in writing.

  5. Any type of get rich scheme, remember if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

  6. It is also wise to select a financial planner that is financially successful themselves.

After interviewing and running an extensive background check the National Association Against Consumer Fraud has awarded the following business a listing in The Business A-List:

Estate Planning Institute Group, LLC.

8601 Six Forks Road, Suite 400
Raleigh, NC 27615
Phone (800) 807-3477

Why Estate Planning Institute Group, LLC was offered the opportunity to be a Business A-List participant?

Unlike most decisions selecting an ethical financial planner is a very difficult decision. There are no products to touch or feel or if a mistake is made it is impossible to get a refund.

The Estate Planning Institute Group, LLC is a very conservative company preaching conservative investments while protecting your assets. Michael Forest, the regional vice president, focuses on building relationships with people, not just clients. Mr. Forest and his staff spend a tremendous amount of time educating and asking the right questions.
