Residential / Commercial Window Tinting

What to look for when selecting an ethical Window Tinting Company:

  1. In this industry we highly recommend selecting a company with a proven track record.

  2. Look for a company that has a physical address, phone number and business license.

  3. Look for a company that will show you a copy of their insurance cover letter. Check for workers' compensation and general liability insurance.

  4. Verify and actually call references, not just the last three customers. Call a few customers that have had their windows tinted for a year or more.

  5. Get everything in writing and make sure it's detailed on company stationary. Make sure what is in the contract is actually what is being done to your home or business.

  6. Make sure the quote is an all inclusive price before signing any contract, to avoid hidden charges.

  7. Never be pressured into making a decision in one day, you may be offered incentives to hurry and sign a contract. Today's price should be the same as tomorrows.

  8. Look for a company that takes the time to explain their product. Ask who the manufacturer of the tint product is and have them explain the differences in their products.

  9. Make sure you understand the quality of the tint being installed. It's important to make sure you're comparing apples to apples. There are different qualities of tint, please do your research.

  10. Make sure your tint is installed to manufacturer specifications.

  11. Look for a company that will let you see the tint when it comes out of the box to make sure you are getting what you paid for.

What to avoid when selecting a company in this industry:

  1. A company that does not show you their insurance. If someone is injured on the job and is not insured, the consumer may be liable. Why take that chance?

  2. A company that does not have a proven track record.

  3. Companies that will not provide you a detailed itemized estimate on company stationary.

  4. Companies that pressure you into buying.

  5. Companies that will not let you call past customers.

  6. You get what you pay for. If you want a qualified and licensed specialist, you may need to pay a little more, but in most cases it is money well spent.

  7. Companies that do not provide you the manufacturer of the tint. There is a big difference in the quality of tint and you really get what you pay for.

  8. Companies that give you a low-ball estimate. They could be hiding costs or the quality of their tint.

  9. Companies that do not do criminal background checks on their workers.
