Decorative Concrete

What to look for when selecting an ethical Decorative Concrete  Company:

  1. Ask the Company to show you a copy of their insurance cover letter.

  2. Make sure they show you proof of general liability and workers' compensation insurance to protect you if your property is damaged or if someone is injured working on your property.

  3. An ethical company should have no problem providing you with a list of references.

  4. Look for a company that provides detailed estimates on company letterhead. Make sure what is in the contract is actually being done on your property.

  5. Ask the Company to explain their warranty thoroughly. If damage or wear and tear happen because of them, how is it covered.

  6. Make sure the Company is comfortable with you getting more than one estimate.

  7. Look for a company that will give you names, addresses and phone numbers of their previous clients. A portfolio is fine to look at and get ideas, but we recommend calling a few close to your area and see the work that was done first hand. In this industry much of the work can be seen from the street.

  8. Make sure they utilize qualified installers. Don't be afraid to ask the installer about their experience. Meet the person that will supervise your job.

  9. A company that thoroughly explains the care process required to maintain the concrete.

What to avoid when selecting a company in this industry:

  1. Companies that do not show you their insurance policy.

  2. Companies that play price games.

  3. Companies that do not have a proven track record.

  4. Companies that will not provide you a detailed estimate.

  5. Companies that ask for excessive deposits.

  6. Companies that apply pressure to purchase today.

  7. Companies that will not let you call past customers.

  8. You get what you pay for. If you want qualified and licensed installers, you may need to pay a little more, but in most cases its money well spent.

  9. Companies that charge for each step of the process. If they charge extra to prep the surface, watch out, it's the only way the job should be done in the first place.

  10. Avoid a company that does not do criminal background checks on their worker's.
