Certified CPR & First Aid Training

What to look for when selecting an ethical Certified CPR and First Aid Training Company:

  1. Make sure your CPR or First Aid Company has a Regulated and accredited program.

  2. Look for a Company with Professional experience performing skills that will be taught.

  3. Make sure the company has proper equipment to teach the course.

  4. Find a Company that can handle the class size that fits your needs, big or small.

  5. Make sure the Course has the correct and most current information in it.

  6. Make sure the Instructor that is teaching cares whether the students learn the information.

  7. Find a Company that cares about making it happen for you.

  8. Find a Company that has a location near you.

  9. Make sure the class can be taught the time of day you need it.

  10. Make sure any special considerations are addressed before hand so the instructor can go into more detail on certain subjects that are unique for your situation.

What to avoid when selecting a a Company to certify you in CPR or First Aid:

  1. Avoid Companies that teach courses for multiple professions, Instructors are not likely to have the experience to be knowledgeable about real world situations.

  2. Watch out for photo copies of certification cards. They are not valid unless they are original and issued from an accredited program.

  3. Classes should be taught with a DVD based program and a corresponding book. Avoid companies who only put an instructor in front of the class without equipment and/or not handing out materials for every student.

  4. Avoid companies you have to chase down to contact them. If they are not eager to teach you, they won't care if you learn.

  5. Stay away from companies that have complaints or negative standings files with the regulating and accredited program. Every program can be contacted for this information.

  6. Avoid classes that have a high minimum student requirement. Their first priority is usually their profit, not you.
